The BootStRaP presented at the HACPP Congress in Greece

8 May 2025. Prof. Naomi A. Fineberg had the honour of presenting the BootStRaP Project at the 13th Annual National Congress of the Hellenic Association of Clinical Psychopharmacology (HACPP) in Greece.

Her message was clear:

In the post-pandemic era, young people are facing growing challenges in managing their internet use.

The BootStRaP Project is stepping up to meet these challenges — equipping over 10,000 children across Europe with the tools they need to navigate the digital world safely, build resilience, and protect their mental well-being in an increasingly connected age.

At the intersection of innovation and mental health, BootStRaP is leading the way in helping youth not just survive, but thrive online.

The BootStRaP: Boosting Societal Adaptation and Mental Health in a Rapidly Digitalizing, Post-Pandemic Europe is a Europe-wide study uniting scientists from 14 countries and 22 institutions to address and reduce the risks of harmful internet use among teenagers—the online generation. The BootStRaP study follows the success of the European Network for Problematic Usage of the Internet (2018–2022), which significantly advanced global understanding of the links between health, internet use, and problematic behaviors’.
