Mini BootCAMP with Portuguese school ambassadors

2025-06-13. A mini BootCAMP was held with Portuguese school ambassadors at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto.

The event featured a presentation for the students led by Carolina Cordeiro, with Prof. Célia Sales also joining the session remotely. During the BootCAMP , the ambassadors discussed digital well-being, healthy internet habits, and shared their own experiences. These youth-led activities are a key part of our project, ensuring that the solutions we build are practical and youth-friendly.

The BootStRaP: Boosting Societal Adaptation and Mental Health in a Rapidly Digitalizing, Post-Pandemic Europe is a Europe-wide study uniting scientists from 14 countries and 22 institutions to address and reduce the risks of harmful internet use among teenagers—the online generation. The BootStRaP study follows the success of the European Network for Problematic Usage of the Internet (2018–2022), which significantly advanced global understanding of the links between health, internet use, and problematic behaviors’.
