7 July 2025. Paris, July 3–5, 2025 — BootStRaP experts joined leading international researchers and clinicians at a high-level workshop organized by the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe. The event focused on developing strategic responses to the growing risks of online gambling and gaming among youth.
BootStRaP experts played a key role in shaping the workshop’s methodology and identifying promising practices in prevention, harm reduction, and intervention.
A snapshot from the event captured the spirit of collaboration, featuring BootStRaP contributors: Marc Potenza, Sophia Achab, Ornella Corazza, Julius Burkauskas, Hans-Jürgen Rumpf, Dan Stein, Andrea Czako, and Zsolt Demetrovics — an outstanding group of researchers and clinicians working across disciplines and borders. Together, they bring scientific evidence, clinical insight, and policy innovation to the forefront of efforts tackling online gambling, gaming, and digital risks among youth.
Their collaboration reflects a shared commitment to translating scientific knowledge into effective public health responses — bridging research, clinical practice, and policy to address the complex challenges of digital risk among youth. This workshop further reinforces BootStRaP’s ongoing efforts to promote digital wellbeing and support young people across Europe and beyond.
The project runs for two years, from October 2024 until the end of September 2026.
