20 April, 2026. In May 2026, Lithuania will host two important BootStRaP project events, bringing together an international community of researchers, young people and decision‑makers – a high‑level international conference at the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) and the BootCAMP international youth camp in Vilnius.

On 14 May, the international conference “From Research to Action: A Safer and Healthier Digital Future for Young People” will take place at the Lithuanian Parliament. The conference will bring together leading BootStRaP researchers and experts from across Europe and beyond. It will present the latest findings on problematic internet use among young people and explore preventive interventions, policy approaches and legal aspects of the digital environment.

The conference programme includes discussions focused on the practical use of research evidence in policy, public health and education, with contributions from researchers, practitioners and representatives of relevant institutions.

Please join the conference live on the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) YouTube channel (in English)

On the same day, the international BootCAMP youth camp will begin, taking place from 14 to 17 May in Vilnius. Around 50 young people participating in the BootStRaP project, together with their teachers, will arrive from nine European countries. Over three days, young participants will engage with an international team of researchers, share their experiences and take part in collaborative and creative activities.

The BootCAMP is a key part of BootStRaP’s co‑creation approach, in which young people’s perspectives and lived experiences are integrated into the development of interventions, communication approaches and policy‑relevant insights. Through this process, young people contribute to shaping how research findings and proposed changes are understood and received by their peers.

Together, these events in Lithuania mark another important stage of the BootStRaP project, where scientific research, youth perspectives and policy dialogue come together in a shared space.
