Dr Helen Munro Wild

Dr Helen Munro Wild is a mixed methods researcher and senior advisor for the NIHR Research Support Service for the Specialist Centre for Public Health, based at the University of Hertfordshire. She has a background in public health and experience in health research, particularly in the areas of chronic kidney disease, prevention and self-management. In designing and delivering research, with a focus on community involvement, she takes a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach to her recruitment and engagement role in the BootStRaP study.

The BootStRaP: Boosting Societal Adaptation and Mental Health in a Rapidly Digitalizing, Post-Pandemic Europe is a Europe-wide study uniting scientists from 14 countries and 22 institutions to address and reduce the risks of harmful internet use among teenagers—the online generation. The BootStRaP study follows the success of the European Network for Problematic Usage of the Internet (2018–2022), which significantly advanced global understanding of the links between health, internet use, and problematic behaviors’.
