The Dragon Game

Traditional neuropsychological approaches to assessment are inadequate at capturing the key cognitive and clinical attributes across mental and substance use disorders. The growing enthusiasm for more scalable e-health tools, together with the accessibility of app-based technologies (eg, smartphones, tablets), has provided a unique opportunity for the development of the next generation of assessment tools.

The Dragon Game aims to develop a one-of-a-kind electronic battery, that is informed by neuroscience, engaging, and clinically useful for the assessment and monitoring of individuals at different ages. This version of The Dragon Game is a special version designed for the BooStRaP research project, which is a pioneering Europe-wide study to address and reduce the risks of harmful internet use among teenagers. This application is part of the Assessment team (Working Package 2) of the BooStRaP study (https://www.internetandme.eu/work-package-2/)

There are two separate games included in the Dragon Game, one is a dragon theme Stop-Signal Test to measure the reaction speed and inhibitory control, and the other is a soccer theme test to measure reward and reversal learning. The in-game performance will be accessed by researchers from the BootStRaP project, including the University of Hertfordshire, Ulm University, Queensland Institute of Medical Research…

Please note this application is only available for participants and researchers from the BootStRaP project, through a deep link from the project’s official APP, BootstrAPP.
